Employment-Based Third Preference Visas In the USA
This is employment-based third preference visa which is available for skilled workers, professionals and unskilled workers (other workers). All EB-3 petitions are filed by the prospective employers in the form of I-140 petitions along with labor certification.
The Code of Federal Regulations has defined the three sub-categories in EB-3 visa:
EB 3-A Skilled Workers
This category includes skilled workers, meaning, people skilled in performing a job that requires at least two years of training or experience.
Labor certification and a permanent, full-time job offer needed.
EB 3-B Professionals
This is for professionals with a bachelor’s degree and are members of a profession/industry and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
