Temporary work visas for the USA are for those that wish to enter the country for employment that is not considered permanent or indefinite. Each of these visas requires a petition to be filed by your employer with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and must be approved before you can apply for a work visa.

There are several types of work visas for USA and before applying, you’ll need to understand which one pertains to you and your job.

Specialized Worker / H-1B Visa

This is for workers considered to be in a specialty occupation. This is a non-immigrant visa that allows you to work in the US temporarily.

Temporary Agricultural Worker / H-2A Visa

This work visa for the USA is for temporary or seasonal agricultural work and is limited to citizens/nationals of designated countries.

A specialized work visa for the USA that enables recipients to receive training in the education of children with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities.

Intra Company Transfer / L1B Visa

This is the visa you’ll need in order to work in a managerial or executive capacity, or in a position requiring specialized knowledge, at a branch, parent, affiliate, or subsidiary of your current employer.

Extraordinary Ability / O1 Visa

This work visa for the USA is limited to those with extraordinary ability in art, education, sciences, business, athletics, or those that have extraordinary achievements in the motion picture and television fields.

Team Athletes & Entertainment Group Members / P-1 Visa

A visa that enables you to perform at a specific athletic competition as an athlete or as a member of an entertainment group.

Artists & Entertainers / P-2 Visa

For those visitors that qualify to perform under a reciprocal exchange program.

Artists & Entertainers / P-3 Visa

Another specialized work visa for the USA that you can obtain in order to perform, teach, or coach a traditional ethnic, folk, cultural, musical, theatrical, or artistic performance or presentation.

Cultural or Education Exchange / Q-1 Visa

Reserved for those participating in an international cultural exchange program for the purposes of practical training and sharing of the history, culture, and traditions of your home country.
